Sissy's Treats & Treasures sits comfortably on Seymour’s Main Street as a layered local spot that blends a cozy café with an antique and craft shop. This isn’t your typical coffee break destination – it’s where you can sip a cappuccino or a hot cider while casually browsing vintage finds, handmade jewelry, and rotating local crafts. The combination of a coffeehouse vibe and a consignment store creates an atmosphere that feels like a community living room sprinkled with forgotten objects and fresh flavors.

Locals seem to appreciate Sissy’s for more than just the menu. With options like a simple yet satisfying egg and cheese breakfast sandwich or a selection of fresh turkey and ham sandwiches paired with thoughtfully brewed lattes and flowering teas, it’s a practical spot for breakfast or lunch. Parents often stop by during local rummage sales, turning quick meals into shared outings where the kids can explore treasures alongside the grown-ups.

The shop’s layout encourages slower visits – browsing the unique antique pieces or handmade items at a relaxed pace while enjoying friendly conversation with the staff. The quiet, welcoming environment contrasts the buzz of the nearby Don’s Quality Market, making it a natural retreat for those wanting a low-key moment in the heart of Seymour.

Best times to visit are late mornings through early afternoons, especially if you want to avoid the typical lunchtime rush and have time to linger over a salad or warm beverage. The mix of fresh food, vintage finds, and crafted goods appeals mostly to locals who enjoy supporting homegrown businesses, whether they’re grabbing a midday meal, hunting for a one-of-a-kind gift, or indulging in a dessert after their shopping.

While the food emphasizes freshness and homestyle touches, the real draw is the blend of edible treats and tangible memories made near the café’s cozy corners. This is a place where the past and present mingle through shared tables, quietly collected curios, and seasonal community rhythms.

Quaint little antique store with a few homemade items. There's also coffee and a few tasty treats. Nice quiet atmosphere with very friendly owner. Located on Main Street in Seymour not too far from Don's Quality Market.

Sissy's Treats & Treasures is a gem of a small cafe intertwined with a gift shop. Francine Garvey owns and operates Sissy's and she does so with flair. The food is excellent. The turkey with cranberry and cream cheese sandwich is my favorite. If you are in the mood for tea, go to Sissy's! Francine has a tea to suit any taste or help sore throats or stuffy noses! Save room for dessert! I guarantee you won't be disappointed. The gift shop is comprised of over 90 vendors. Each of them does their own unique craft. There is one vendor who felts, one who does paper quilling, one who makes purses, the list goes on. Some of our vendors bring in antiques, which I always look forward to. You never know if a Fenton glass cat or Haegar pottery will come in. Bring a friend or a group of friends, the coffee, tea, or hot cocoa is always on at Sissy's Treats & Treasures!
